Typically, we can write approximately 50 new procedures annually. Obviously, a lot of this depends on the complexity of the items under test and the similarity we have to other items previously developed. Just creating the spreadsheets from scratch can take upwards of 1 entire day. If we already have a 500 MHz scope from the same line already done, we can shorten the spreadsheet creation down to an hour. Same holds true for the graphics. If they have to be created from scratch the entire process slows dramatically.
Generally though, the rule of thumb is 1 program - 1 developer (write, debug, validate) - 1 week.
How many new procedures are developed a year?
